Nicole Branz, soprano

Nicole Branz is a young dramatic soprano whose concerts have drawn much praise. She has been the recipient of several awards including assistantships, scholarships and talent grants.

A recent graduate of the University of Illinois with a Master in Music in Vocal Performance and Literature, she teaches privately and also at Millikin University in the Preparatory Division.

Nicole has specialized in English roles including Little Buttercup in HMS Pinafore, Katisha in The Mikado and Susanna Susannadonna in P.D.Q Bach’s opera The Abduction of Figaro. Most recently she appeared in Bernstein’s Mass and Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. She also has a growing repertoire in oratorio , including several Mozart works and Vivaldi’s Gloria.

Nicole has performed internationally in Italy as a participant in the Scuola Italia program where she studied Italian and performed in several concerts of scenes and arias.

Jason Morgan, tenor

Jason Morgan is a lyric tenor who has appeared as a soloist in oratorio, opera and concert in the United States and Europe.

Jason moved to New York and sang there for over 10 years, an active performer as a soloist in works of Haydn, Mozart, Strauss, Orff, Massenet and Bach, as well as making guest concert appearances in the southern U.S.  He has appeared in Tuscany and Lombardy as a featured soloist in concerts of opera and art song. 

In the spring of 2004 he appeared with the Raleigh Boychoir as the Guest Artist at the Sixth Annual Festival of American Music, as well as performing as their featured soloist on three other occasions.

In the realm of opera his roles include Eisenstein and Alfred in Die Fledermaus, Des Grieux in Manon, Ferrando in Cosí fan tutte, Alfredo in La Traviata, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni and Ernesto in Don Pasquale.

Since recently moving to Illinois he has performed in light opera, musical theater and plays including Captain Corcoran in H.M.S. Pinafore, Strephon in Iolanthe, Nanki-Poo in the Mikado, the Padre in Man of La Mancha, Fred in the play Miracle on 34^th Street and most recently Harry Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life.
